A high-tech capture-the-flag lasertag picnic party for the tech community, dotcomwars is a battle for supremacy of silicon valley! We'll form 6 teams of up to 12 players each, playing 12 minute lasertag games in a beautiful 6 acre redwood park. You can register alone or with your group.
We have filled up all available slots. We can't comfortably handle any more players for the time and location we have. Please signup for the announcement-only mailing list if you want invites to future SFLasertag picnic parties.
Memorial Day, Monday May 31st, 2010 1pm-6:30pm
We provide the latest outdoor commercial lasertag equipment and a two-way radio headset for each player so you can communite with your teamates. In .comWars, everyone will experience 1 warmup game, and four 15 minute capture-the-flag games throughout the afternoon. The objective is to steal the other team's flag and return it to your base while avoid being shot.
The lasertag equipment is very high-end, able to shoot anything you can see and provides real-time hit confirmation via radio data link. It's unbelivably fun to play on! The terrain is very large- over 12 acres of open redwoods. You’re going to have your opponents shooting at you as you attempt to steal their flag away from them. You’re going to hear your teammates scream for help over your radio headset. By the end of this party you’ll be exhausted and exhilarated. It will be the most fun you’ve had in a long time! No lasertag experience necessary. .comWars is a lasertag picnic party for anyone who lives and loves technology.

.comWars2 takes place in a beautiful and huge redwood grove at the Wurr Campsite in Memorial Park, Loma Mar CA. It's about 40 minutes west of Palo Alto.
Carpooling will be available from the downtown Palo Alto Caltrain Station.
We will be playing high-tech Capture-the-flag games using commercial-grade Battlefieldsports outdoor lasertag equipment rented from specopsliveplay ( www.specopsliveplay.com ) in Oakdale CA. Our private games will take place in a 12 acre rented campsite. We’ll be renting two-way radio headsets for every player so you’ll be in constant communication with your teammates. Just like previous events, we’ll form 5 teams of 6-12 players, keeping the same teams throughout the afternoon. No lasertag experience is necessary. Lasertag is strategic game that’s easy to learn and it’s fun for everyone.

Between games, we’ll have a catered BBQ picnic lunch. There will be a large picnic area with a festive party atmosphere where you can mingle with other fans of technology. Lunch will consist of the following:
The catered bbq picnic lunch is provided by www.FoodsbyJude.com . She will make us fresh and amazing food! If you have any dietary restrictions, just note them when you register and we'll make something for you.

| .comWars Lasertag w/ Catered Lunch | $60 |
| Spectator, catered lunch only | $15 |
If you'd like to particpate but $60 is too much, we have a few volunteer positions available, where you setup, cleanup, and help ref games in exchange for registration. Email me if you're interested in becoming a volunteer for .comWars.
Memorial park charges $5 per vehicle to enter the park. If anyone is willing to give people rides from the Palo Alto caltrain station, I will reimburse that fee. The carpool from Palo Alto will meet at the Caltrain at 12:30pm, which is perfect timing to catch both the northbound and southbound trains.
