Where:

We will be at the Isis group picnic site at the summit of the beautiful Junipero Serra Park, overlooking SFO in San Bruno.  Since there are only a few parking spaces at the picnic area, I suggest parking at the near the playground and walking up to the site.  It's about a 3 minute uphill walk. 

Driving Here:

WARNING!  The only entrance to the park is at 1801 Crystal Springs Rd.  When driving to the park, google maps and some GPS units take you to a dead end at Helen Drive.  If your driving directions make any reference to Helen Drive, throw them away or YOU WILL GET LOST!  From San Francisco, go south on I-280 , take the Cystral Springs Road Exit, make a right at the first light, and the park entrance will be 1/2 mile on your left.  If you're coming from the south bay, take I-280 north, make a U-turn at San Bruno Ave West, getting back onto I-280 going south and take the Crystal Springs Road Exit.  From 101, take I-380 to I-280 south to the Crystal Springs Road Exit.  

Car Pool/Park Fees:

Junipero Serra park charges $5 to park inside the park. If you drive yourself to this event, you’ll need to pay $5 to the park ranger for to get into the park. If you’re willing to carpool with other players attending this event to/from the nearby San Bruno Bart station, I’ll will reimburse you for your parking pass.  The carpool leaves at San Bruno Bart at 10:45am.  

If you don’t have a car, you can take Bart to San Bruno.  Be there before 10:45am to meet your ride.  If you need a ride or want to offer a ride, be sure to indicate so on your registration form. 

If you're hard-core, you can also walk into the park from San Bruno Bart, but it’s about a 40 minute uphill hike.
